Breonio, Monte Loffa, Paraiso

Circular excursion of 11 km with an uphill difference in height of about 600 meters, develops in the north-west part of Lessinia starting from Breonio fraction of Fumane

The route is mixed and very interesting we start from the old Church of Breonio from here we follow the SP 33 towards Fosse for a hundred meters and then take the paved road to the right in the direction of the quarries and Gorgusello we follow it up to the intersection where on the right we go down to Gorgusello but we We proceed straight now dirt road until we reach the gra ndi stone processing workshops that we walk outside keeping to the left until we enter a road paved with large stone of Lessinia that we climb enjoying this work of art (see photo) always going up we skirt on our right down the quarries at the end we enter a path that will lead us to Monte Loffa and at the highest point 1109 mt interesting visit to the church of San Giovanni in Loffa and the monument to memory

from here we return from the same path that we did uphill up to a junction with signs where we keep to the right and continue the descent until we enter the provincial road SP 33 (Fosse / Breonio) that we follow in a southerly direction Breonio, we follow it for 250 meters to make the asphalt road to the right for Paraiso where we stop for a picnic at the fountain and from here we return back going towards Breonio where we walk the different streets of the village to learn more about the different peculiarities (the photos give an idea of the village) and then along via Bellavista we return from where we started.

Brief description of the route

Departure from Breonio Old church direction Cave / Gorgusello see signs on SP direction Fosse before descending towards Gorgusello proceed towards cave and then pass in front of a large stone processing laboratory you skirt it to the right remaining outside then you enter us uphill in a road completely paved with large stones (it is worth it only for this stretch) then we follow a dirt road always uphill that runs along the part of the top of the quarries below and then turning left leads us into a path that leads us to Monte Loffa with its church and the monument to memory

from here now we go down for the same stretch that we did uphill and at the junction with signs we keep to the right to go down until we enter the SP then a short detour to Paraiso and then ritronare from panoramic points to Breonio
