Negrar (Arena Verde) - Valgatara ...a piedi si può
An interesting simple route from the Valley of Negrar to that of Marano di Valpolicella exactly up to the hamlet of Valgatara.
We started from the Arena Verde, but you can start from the center of Negrar di Valpolicella, square of the Church of San Martino walk for a while Via Gugliemo Marconi uphill to take immediately left Via Don Piccoli that going up leads us on Via Colle Masua that we go up and passing next to Villa Spinosa, up to the Capital of Battista Micheletti, here we take Via Masua on the right that we follow for a hundred meters to take a dirt road on the left that at high altitude, we walk, with views of the Marano valley and after a while we abandon it to take a right,always a dirt road that passes next to a farmhouse, and then on asphalt to Figari. From here we take a path that downhill and passing next to the paved road we descend through the vineyards to the cemetery of Valgatara and from here to the church square.
After a pleasant stop at the bar we resume the journey to return to Negrar. Now most of the route is on paved road, except for some small shortcuts that cut the road makes the path nice.
