Paroletto - Pastello - Rosso Verona
A beautiful hike with exceptional views.
Departure from Paroletto parking near the Paroletto Restaurant
from here we take the path / dirt road CAI 237 uphill that passes to the side of the restaurant that you follow for a few hundred meters to take the CAI 240 white red path on the left, well marked that becomes a clearly visible and traced path, which we follow for 700 meters and then descend on the paved road)
We pass next to the Masua fort and then we reach the Molane district and following the signs we begin to climb Monte Pastello following the signs for the CAI 240 path.
We pass and stop for a moment "La Salette del Pastello" place dedicated to the Madonna de La Salette" from here we climb following the stages of the "Via Crucis" and admiring the incitions on white stones
At the top, the large cross and breathtaking views, after a dutiful stop, we continue to descend following the same path of the climb. At the end of the descent where we had taken the CAI 240 path, we enter the dirt road that will take us to the red marble quarries of Verona ..... suggestive but also shocking images ...... the intense almost bloody red of the rocks. The cut mountain wounded and bleeding...........
We return to Paroletto passing through Molane and always along the paved road.

da Paroletto Ristorante parcheggio - segnavia CAI 237 dopo 150 mt a sx CAI 240 - sino a Molane - salita Pastello - Le Salette - Croce Pastello - discesa strada per cave Rosso Verona - ritorno a Molane e poi su strada a Paroletto
